35mm France: Paris

A high view of Paris from atop descending steps

Montmartre

A city of arrondissements split by the Seine. Each portion amassed with layers of history and culture stretching upward. Epitomized by the enduring image of the “temporary” 1889 World’s Fair centerpiece. A moveable feast at times revolutionary and at other times satisfied with a morsel of bread and glass of Burgundy. We’ve done good but seldom better a city of light.
